Do you need a cookout to memorialize someone or something? What is Memorial Day anyway? Another chance to have a big sale on something. Some people go put a flag on a grave. Or a flower in front of a tombstone. And even fewer people try to show those around them who are still here that they love and appreciate them. This Memorial week in War Dragons. we are getting a feeding week. It messed up most people's idea of an event rotation (more reason not to have events for things we should do regularly but run "special" surprise events instead). I received a few comments on my Feeding Event announcement posts today. ~ Why so late?! ~ ~ Why 2 Feeding Events in 1 season!? ~ ~ Are you mad! ~ |
Then go post on the official forums. If the devs want to make Feeding Event be next week, too, they can... as easily as they can change anything in the game that they want with no notice or compensation to you. You signed up for this.
Still, a last minute "veteran's" dragon might have been nice even if you couldn't buy it. Perhaps a "founders" dragon or avatar for players who started playing the game in the first six months or so of it's existence. But that would have also been a nice anniversary of the game gift, wouldn't it have been? |
Finally, celebrating those we lose and keep should be a regular thing. This goes for real life or games. Some talented people started this game but moved on. How soon we forget the names. Pixxel, Joseph, others. Players, too, who donate just because they are nice. Amoeba. iStefa. ImanGHR. Fairyknight. Others. But most people don't think to thank until someone is gone.
