In our debut episode we will look at what you'll get for breaking out the handcuffs, feather dusters and School Girl Cosplay for your dragons. So light that cigarette, relax in your dark corner and take a gander at some hot and heavy dragon fornication.
Higher or lower?
No. We aren't talking about where to pull your pants. In this segment each week we will talk about whether or not the prizes are scaled the same as the previous iteration and figure out if the costs are higher or lower to achieve.
This weeks breeding event pretty much contains the exact same items for the exact same points as the last breeding iteration. This is nice because most PVP are scaled each time so that you always have to score more points to get the same prizes as last time the same event was run.
Spin That Wheel
Don't watch it spin too long, though. Last time I watched a wheel spin, I got hypnotized and woke up 3 days later in Bermuda in nothing but a white t-shirt with a fuzzy heart on it and some dude named "Seeey-moor". And I'll just say I couldn't walk normal.
Anyways, this section focuses on whatever odd thing PG wants you to sell your first born child for (or some of you, the third child and your motorcycle) this week. So rotating branches or special chests being available or even, dare I say, both?!
This week features a rotating branch (that has one more week on it if I recall correctly) and Super Sigil Chests. That's two things for you to spend that hard earned cash on (instead of investing it in your retirement, paying off debt, using it for self development, using it for hookers, helping to end cancer).
The rotating branch this week is the second of three weeks for this particular one. It contains a new dragon that PG had us, the players and fans, vote on. I'll be flat out honest. This dragon is a ripoff and isn't super useful. Spend your rubies, cash, sigils or crack cash else where. The spell set is atrocious and the regular season dragons are better. There is passably decent prizes along the branch value wise but I'd still probably say no.
The Super Sigil Chests I'm seeing get mixed reviews. If you buy one or two sets (a set is 10 for 5k rubies) you'll probably feel pretty shafted. But everyone that I've seen post screenshots of three or more tend to be doing ok. It's looking like 3-4K sigils per 3 sets of sigil chests, with as many as 6k spread across the 3 sets being possible. I would make sure you crunch the numbers on what you can achieve and what you can achieve with your rubies before deciding to spend on these chests. Remember, Sigils don't carry from one season to the next. So this is your second to last chance to get sigils. If you're gonna make your goal without the chests, save your rubies. If it's a toss up right now, wait until next week. We should have the same or a similar offer the.
The Showcase Showdown
No, this isn't the highlights of what your mom had to do to put herself through college and feed your ungrateful ass. This section is all about what you're gonna get for Individual (Indy) Prizes this week.
We will look at what you get overall, what you get at the tier that contains 450 sigils, what you get at the 225 sigil tier and what it takes to get each tier.
If you're fortunate enough (or your wallet is simpering uncontrollably) you'll be able to max out the event. The goodies are pretty drool worthy, like a Gordon Ramsay Beef Wellington. Maxing this sexually charged event will be good for:
11,755 breeding tokens
2,750 Summer Destiny Sigils
15 Gold Chests
15 12hr speed ups
All for a whopping 390,000 breeding tokens or 975 Mystic Fragments. Holy Jesus. That's a whole lot of tokens, dragon sex and rock n roll. So, the majority of us... we won't be maxing the event. So what else could I get, CB? Besides getting my dragons an STD.
One of the benchmarks for many players in every event is the tier that has 450 sigils in it. I gotta tell you, you'll have accumulated some good shit when you reach that tier.
6,415 Breeding Tokens
1,750 Summer Destiny Sigils
5 Gold Chests
4 Calling Birds
3 French Hens
A partridge in a pear tree
7 12hr Speed Ups
Now that's not a bad haul, right? But, what does that cost you? Only 176,000 tokens. That's pocket change, right? Honestly, this event has the poorest return of all events. This event is designed solely for income to PG. I don't ever suggest running at it hard and I even suggest between events breeding if the dragons are under 10k tokens in order to prep. The further up the prize tree you go in this event, the lower the value of rewards. For instance, if you spend 20k tokens you'll earn a total of 1,605 Rubies, 1,900 Breeding Tokens and 625 Sigils. If you spend another 20k tokens, you'll earn 675 more rubies, 695 more breeding tokens, and only 200 more sigils. That's a substantial discount. Your 20k tokens are suddenly worth approx. two thirds less.
I'm not saying that you should stop breeding at 20k tokens. I'm telling you what your value is and I'd suggest only using the exact number of tokens you'll need to breed your dragons, obtain any research or builder hit eggs or to achieve your Indy Prize goal.
Is The Prize Right or Wrong?
This week I'd say that in general, for the breed event, the prize is wrong. They don't give back to you much and it's extremely hard to achieve the levels you'd achieve in any other event.
And that concludes today's episode of The Prize is Right. Please, I'm asking you to leave feedback! What do you want to hear? Did I explain things well? Is my fly unzipped? Or take a moment and tel us how you are doing with the event, why your goal is and if you've achieved it yet.
Now let's get back to fucking some bitches up!
