50 Shades of what?
I know I'm a few days late. Our dragons are now naughty naughty boys and girls. But I've spent the last 3-4 days giving my dragons pointers and suggestions. They've got the dance down, let me tell you.
I've also had in the back of my mind ideas on what this guide should look like this week. Breeding guides abound. I'll of course link to many of the popular ones, and pimp out a few that most of you have never seen. But the serenades of Marvin Gaye and Sam Cooke drifting throughout my Crevice just haven't made a clear path easy. But onwards I shall go!
Now I'm going to give you an opinion and idea that's often unpopular among many. Breed dragons outside of the breeding event. Now, I don't mean to breeding everything. But many of the key breeds are huge expensive breeds and require several dragons to be frisky enough to conceive that stud you're looking for. So don't be afraid to spend 3-5k tokens outside of an event if that's what you need in order to use 60k tokens in the event. Also, really, if you're not breeding in Gold Tier I'd strongly suggest just breeding whenever. Waiting at that level isn't as helpful. You're unlikely to breed enough dragons and spend enough tokens to matter. Having 10k tokens and breeding is enough at that point. Breed what you need outside of the event to keep a steady, balanced progression.
So exactly what breeding outside of the event is ok or potentially advisable? Well one of the most prominent reasons to breed outside of the event is that you missed the dragon you needed by a few thousand tokens. It's ok at that point to breed a few days after the event because you're gonna likely need that dragon for the next event. While it's possible, it's very tough to hatch many dragons past Orange Tier in an event and then get them breedable in the same event. And honestly, after you've spent 50k tokens in an event, the Individual Prize tiers get pretty far away from each other. They start getting 18K plus away. So if you spend 4K tokens 3 days after a breeding event, is it going to hinder the prizes you get? No, probably not.
As I already stated, if you haven't started Gold Tier dragons, waiting to breed for a whole month is rough. Not getting the dragons to keep your progression steady leads to the game going flat and boring. If you know that you'll be able to breed several green tier dragons at once, and that you have the team support to level a lot of them to breeding quickly, then yes, waiting if you're under Gold Tier might be good. And waiting on the expensive breeds under Gold is ok. But all those cheaper breeder dragons should be fair game.
I say this because strategy on dragon progression took a very sharp turn in September of 2016. With the introduction of Seasons and seasonal Divines that evolve, it's crucial to keep that seasonal divine even with your player level. And to evolve it each time, you have to have met certain Dragon Tier criteria. So making sure you meet those criteria is important as you drive towards greatness.
Now we move onto the guides. These give you the moves so that your dragons came make that sweet, sweet love. Below will be links to all the popular guides by Superman, Amoeba and Red. I'll also feature Stephradites guides directly.
Amoeba is The Godfather of breeding. Many of you weren't around prior to December or so 2015. Let me tel you. Everything then was guess, hope for the best and hope you have a good in game network of friends to share info and findings with. Back then, more so than now, team Wikis were gold mines. That all changed with Amoeba. His site truly changed the game. He created the breeding app, then breeding guide, and then was adding all that nifty game info and building (tower) info. So here is the link for some of the most classic moves and positions to impregnate those dragons of yours!

Next up are the guides created by a bird. Wait, no, a plane! Shit, that's wrong, too! That's right, they're made by Superman! Superman has literally nothing better to do than figure out the ways to really get the most effective and efficient dragon fornication going. The amount of guides he's made to help your drags overcome ED and body shame issues is simply astounding. His current guides are at the following link! Once, we might have said "Cowboy up!" In this instance, I think "Voyeur up!" is far more appropriate.

We move onto the last set of guides that I'm linking. These are made by Red. Red's guides have long been considered among the best due to her approach of balancing Dragons to player level. What I mean is? Making sure that you have the appropriate dragons for our player level. Sometimes you might spend a touch more in certain places, but the purpose is to keep you competitive and balanced and to allow you to actually use and enjoy the dragons you breed. The guide can be found here!

Last we have our feature breeding guides made by the one and only Stephradite. Steph has spent countless hours studying all the thrusting techniques of Amoebas guide and the advanced foreplay of Supermans guides. She's been able to develop what she's learned into what's collectively know as "Stephradites Guides to Dragon Karma Sutra" These guides are meant as the fastest way to the top dragons in the game. Steph has stopped them at Garnett for the moment until the release of the Mythic Emeralds. At that point, Emerald Tier will be introduced to the guides and this blog post will be updated as well.
