Finally, the interview with leader of XPFarmsLooseX1, USAHD2 / NotxAxFarm!
The questions posed were by fans of farms from the Facebook group: facebook.com/groups/farmsofwardragons
Did you create XPFarmsLooseX1?
I didn’t create the team as when I joined a few of the original members were still around. As they left I kept getting “promoted”.
I feel like the key is having a clear vision of who you want to farm your base. For my bases I’m trying to help lower level players with weak dragons. That is why I only have 2 types of high level towers (cannon and storm) that you can negate by adding a resist spell that can be forged. Other farms are for higher level players and then there are those who are for farming chests.
How did the idea of starting a xpfarm guild come to you? When in your(notxaxfarm) WD career did you deside to become a farm, and why?
I’ve combined these two questions as they are connected.
I started playing WD in late 2016 after my preferred game (BattleNations) was shut-down. I had played for about 4 months and gotten to level 40ish with purple dragons when I started to find it challenging to level my dragons. I happened to find an XP base by accident that I started using and with no warning it was “banned” by WD. This was also the time when WD released their first challenge event where you needed miracles to revive dragons and I used what few gold chests I had to get them with no luck. I became so frustrated with the game and time commitment that I wanted to step back from the game. But I realized that I could help others and so I decided to setup my bases for xp. After I had changed their format I went looking for a place to call home and found XPFarmsLooseX1.
What are the most challenging about being a farm officer/leader?
The biggest challenge is all the mails that you get as your inbox fills quickly. Mostly they are nice notes and I’ve gotten quite a few thanks and even a few gift packs which were nice. But there were a few that I enjoyed deleting.
What do you think can be done or changed so the farms can be even more helpfull for the dragon community?
I think most of the farms currently available are very useful but it may be good to setup a few can be used to quickly finish the event quests especially those that require hitting higher level bases 100%. But we’d need a 300+ base that wasn’t being used and that is a tough sell.
I find a base that has the farms spread out so you can hit all the monuments are the key. Then from there having a few higher level towers spread out rather than many lower level towers. Finally if you can avoid mage towers or at least keep them on the last island.
Why is your base perfectly laid out for warriors like Amarok, Danzig or Hugin?
Did you do that on purpose or is that by coincidence?
I didn’t have a specific dragon in mind when I built the base but I knew that any dragon with a cannon resist would fly it pretty easily. My only concern was that it got to level 84 with fire/ice/dark towers so it would be easy for egg tasks.
