Hi! Alleviates here from the Creators Faction of War Dragons. I wanted to share my tips for chest farming during events. Treasure Hunt is part of War Dragons events. There is usually a period before events where the chests drop, and the treasures will continue to drop during event or regular runs throughout events.
Types
These chests consist of Bronze, Silver, and Gold. Bronze is every day prizes with a chance of something better. Silver chests contain Runes with chances to obtain unusual, hard to find Runes. Gold is usually packages of useful items, sometimes rare such as pieces of Event dragons.
How to Obtain Chests
Chests are only found during events. You can find free chests in the Event Armory periodically. You can find chests drop whilst you also do Event or regular runs. I have learned that conducting runs solely for the purpose of farming chests during events is highly productive and profitable. I will share my strategy.
Event Farming Strategy
I use Hunter dragons who possess the Death Gaze spell. I do this because Hunters can easily target Monuments (the towers that provide chest drops). With usually just one shot, Death Gaze can take down one high level target. I fill my roster of dragons with Hunters with Death Gaze sort of like a team roster. I will conduct runs with Hunters starting with the strongest till I have worked through to my weakest dragons. I start with the strongest because those dragons will take the most time to heal. I only use one dragon per base. Whilst the dragons who have already passed through my farm base are healing, I will continue to conduct runs using the weaker dragons. So, I would start with Enki on a farm base, then leave and while Enki is healing I would use Numen to go farm the same base from the beginning, then leave and do the same with Habrok, then Bolt. By the time I have used these dragons, I am back to a healed Enki and can continue to farm.
The Key
Choose a base that is high level with high defense. I have a theory that the higher the level base defense, the better drop rate of chests. I know that could sound intimidating. But remember, you are not trying to defeat the base. You are merely seeking to receive Chests from the Monuments (highlighted in white diamonds on the map). You do not have to receive 70% success. The idea is to get chests then leave with full life. The base depicted to the left shows an easy flight for a Hunter with Death Gaze, even the weakest one (Bolt). Before reaching the final island where the high defense towers are, you Swap and leave the game as a loss. The base owner receives gems for your so-called loss, but you will have a nearly full-life dragon still and several chests! Your remaining Hunters are ready to farm, too. |
