"I am no traitor. I have not, and will not, take sides in your petty feud," she hissed.
"If you are not on my side you are a traitor," Xander replied flatly. He motioned to the guards standing on either side of her chair. "Take her to the dungeon. She can join Thorne and Diana." As the guards marched Morrigan out of the room, Xander began to circle the table as he spoke.
"I want what is in those temples," he stated slowly. "Goda cannot stop us. Dallyah cannot stop us. The Guardians will fall and their treasures will be mine."
"Ours," Slender corrected.
Xander stopped behind him and tilted his chair backwards. "Mine to dole out as I see fit," he said, letting go of the chair so it fell to the floor. Slender somehow managed to keep from bouncing his head off of the floor and quickly righted his chair and sat.
"Now," Xander continued, "Arden, Spiculus , ready the Minions; they will be the battalion leaders, under your command. This will be a ground battle, but I want Laria, Slender, Morgana and myself to oversee from our dragons. Now go, we leave at sunset."
He waited until the room empties, then went to the desk in the far corner of the room. He retrieved a rope from which four small skulls dangled, and smiled as he gently ran his fingers over them.
"Soon," he whispered, "soon you will be free and we will rule this world!"
