The look on Timur's face made Dally laugh so hard she almost dropped her screen. Timur crossed his arms across his massive chest and frowned. "I'll take that as a 'yes' then."
Dally wiped her eyes. "I'm sorry for laughing," she laughed, "but the look on your face was priceless!" Timur growled. "Ok, ok," Dally said with a sigh. "So how is Cavaleris doing?" she asked in the most serious tone she could muster.
"Doing well," Timur replied. "The Druids are all very excited about him. He's doing great on invader runs and progressing very nicely."
"Well that's excellent! Have them keep running him until I get back. Also, I want to work on the kill islands."
"Already on it, boss," Timur replied with a smirk. "Also, Volos is in the den. Not sure how, but there are two Dodos on your perch instead."
Dally's eyes widened. "Huh," she said.
"Apparently the PG are playing a trick on everyone," Timur laughed. "Plus, Volos is pretty happy not being out in the cold."
Dally laughed. "I can imagine! Although he's the one who goes to the perch so..."
Ovidius' booming voice called up the stairs. "Breakfast is served!" Dally and Timur said their goodbyes and she headed into the main room of the inn. Portia was seated at the bar, eating a stack of flap jacks and some sausage. Dally sat next to her, and Ovidius set an identical plate in front of her. "Eat girlie," he said. "After your adventures last night, I bet your in need of a good meal." He winked and walked away.
Portia finished the last bite andr at Dally. "So, you really did face Prospero last night?"
Dally nodded as she shoved a bite into her mouth. "Yes," she said when she'd finished.
Portia raised an eyebrow. "So the dead Masque was true too? These gangs, there are three of them. The Masques, the Fencers, and the Fans. Fans are rarely seen, but you see the Masques and the Fencers out fighting fairly often. Never heard of any of them being targets of Prospero though." She thought for a moment before asking, "What are your plans today?"
"Well, I'm supposed to go for a fitting at the dress shop, but that's all I have today."
Portia rose, and leaned in to whisper "I'll meet you here tonight and we'll do some investigating."
"Sounds like a plan," Dally replied and waved to Portia as she left the inn. She finished her breakfast and headed down an eerily empty street to the dress shop.
