And they did.
She’d flown the missions, obtained the egg tokens for the breeding event. They had bred the dragons she needed for her roster, which had in turn given her the sigil needed to obtain this dragon. The unicorn dragon, the Herald of Fortune. Obsi cared not of fortune. She had experienced far more misfortune in her life to get hung up on the idea of fortune. She and Dally had fought and survived for years on only their wit and skill. She’d learned much from her sister, and tried every waking moment to be like Dally. Dally never wanted that for her, though. “Be your own person,” she told Obsi. “Be Obsi. You are strong and smart and beautiful. You are my sister, but you are not me. Learn from my mistakes and don’t be afraid to make your own.”
She had taken risks, done the wrong thing, then done the right thing. She’d made a name for herself. She’d dreamed of many things for herself, but never this.
She walked over to the magnificent white and pink beast on the platform. Kirin bowed her head and allowed Obsi to stroke her mane. Tears of joy began to fall down her cheeks as she looked over the dragon. “I can’t believe this,” she choked out through her tears.
“Believe it,” Kirin said softly. “Together we will accomplish great things.”
