Gold and Platinum tiers!! Now I felt like I was starting to play with the big kids! And the dragon whose breeding path I was following was in sight! I was convinced that Khrysos was going to be my favorite and I absolutely had to have him. Boy was I surprised!
With this tier, it seemed online opinions were harder to find at least for some of these guys so I had to really feel them out. At this stage, I was still leaning warriors and I believe my active lineup had at least 7 warriors in it, 2 sorcerers, and 1 lonely hunter. Because of my love for warriors, I had chosen the breeding path that would get me the beast that was said to be Khrysos.
As with the tiers so far, there were some dragons better listed as breeders: Ferrox, Firactus, Lumen, and Basileus though I have seen some fly Firactus and Basileus quite nicely.
Gold Spotlight: Very surprisingly - this spotlight was a tie for me!! Between a sorcerer and a hunter!! Sekoronus and Consurgens!!
At about this point, I'm starting to figure out with guidance from the big guys on the team - that with strong divines, I need to focus my efforts on the Legendaries in the tier. Was definitely getting harder to find more opinions of each dragon on this tier but I loved getting to know the dragons of this tier and found some AWESOME ones!
The following I felt were breeders: Cerbero, Mune, Nosfer, Jagra, Necura, and Kulan. Now - some have told me that Jagra was a great dragon, he just wasn't for me lol!!
Platinum Hunters: Just one - and only need one because this little bat rocks!!
At this point, though I do not have Cryzan and Quetz yet - I can easily and without hesitation say that Rizar gets my spotlight in the Platinum tier!
Part 2 will cover the Orange and Green tiers.
Orange Tier Dragons
Now I finally felt I was heading into dragons with some power and the first dragon I really had to get! Of course there was a list of those I had read were breeders or not needed for breeding.
Breeders: Volos, Slynx, Ankor, Bronze, Lucius, and Ruma
Not needed: Kolo and Septys.
Orange Hunters: I still hated hunters and orange tier didn't help change my opinion
The orange spotlight undoubtedly goes to Amarok! Well worth the time to get him level so be persistent! You will see his strength as you get him over level 10.
I will add an honorable mention here for Enki: with his death gaze spell and leveled to expert, level 60ish and above players can help their bigger team mates (possible up to the 130s) gain max XP by hitting a big XP base and killing at least 20%!
Green Tier Dragons
At this point, my base and player level were getting to a decent size and I needed the dragons with strength to match. I was really relying on my seasonal Tarand and Tengu but knew without stones beyond green I would need to beef up my "regulars". I did find some great ones in the green tier!
Breeders: Garzev, Gaspar, Nassus, Serabis, Nix, Naga (IMO - though some said they liked him), and Elixis. Elixis really only for breeding green research eggs.
The green spotlight is tough as I had several favorites in the green tier but I think Ettin being the first hunter I could destroy with gets my pick!
At this point the Spring 2017 season has started and thus my journey with Sage, Aster, Abraxos, and Fae. but that is another blog.....
Here to have fun and share the experience with like-minded players!
