The ramblings of a MadHatter
III. Handcuffs, rope and shenanigans
IV. Breakfast in bed
Well hi there kids n kittens. Well it’s here. The MadHatters are two years old. This will be a glorious tribute to my team, team mates, former team mates and those still in the queue to join. As a team we have had our ups and downs as most have, but always stayed on our path first set out all them many months ago. Yes it cost us high levels at the time, yes it took us a while to get the players we have/ had to get to a stage where we could comfortably move up. But the MadHatters has always been about enjoying the game and giving the gamers within a perfect gaming Utopia in which to do so. We may not be everyone’s cup of warm/ cold/ frozen beverage but we cannot cater for everyone. But never merged, never begged, never been a team that people look down at because of being blatant assholes, we just have a blast playing a game that we have sunk so many hours into. So huge rewind. After a couple of disastrous attempts at the team thing. A hot headed and highly strung young player named Bellicose, made the MadHatters and after my teasing her all the time in our previous team she gave the golden badge to MadDud and on we sailed, the good ship Chaos, Shenanigans and fun times. We started off real slow this time (previous team ChariotCard, jumped to gold in its first week) working our way into peoples heads, always dominating LC but in a great way, the team got stronger purely because of this. Our attitude was fantastic, always bonding with the other teams, helping them out, guiding them, comforting them, easing their ever growing farms and storage huts, but never creating any drama, always nullifying it mainly, jumping in to diffuse it with my randomness. Because of our bonds in LC, to help out the younger ages in the team we introduced themes in the PVP events mainly so they could hit and be hit by their friends in the league without fear of upsetting the friendship. Of course it gets revealed but by then it’s nearly over (this is when the events were Friday to Sunday, so much better then now ) and things carried on as usual. The themes are still carrying on each one bringing much laughter and confusion as it’s almost impossible to tell who some players are. We also randomly switch names, it don’t take much to trigger this off to be honest, been a few memorable ones. I once logged in to find all the officers and the leader had all taken up my name and the LC was full of Bruvs. Also when a member got the all clear from breast Cancer, we all had one form of name connecting to these lovely parts and we all turned our avatars pink or red to celebrate (the only time people liked using POG ). The team was also a training team, no one got left out, the wiki always full of usual tips, advice, guides (and my comical abuse) helped loads. No one got refused anything, be it RSS or runs, if it is available, it is shared. The fee still stands the same for back up runs, have as many as you wish, but when you grow and others come in, then you do the same as we do for you.
So as it stands, the Hatters are in a good place team wise, my officers work their asses off to keep things looking great. I have an excellent beta crew too, these are also giving their time up away from game to help the team make the most of beta and I only wish I had a few extra badges as these really do deserve them. So here is a special thanks to all of my officers and to AmK, Mass and Darg, it’s truly appreciated what you do for us.
Ok back to business. The new update and Atlas. Wow did that get messy real fast. To be honest I like the new look of the new game, it’s easier to navigate, looks the nuts and has freshened it up. Yes my game was broken, yes it was a struggle to fly some times, but I knew it was only temporarily, they wouldn’t leave it like it, financial suicide so was only logical patches would come thick and fast, but damn there was some handbags dropped out there, a lot of mascara running down in tear soaked cheeks. Also a massive wow, after seeing some ss of a lot of angry players who made it look like PG personally came into their homes and pissed all over their living room carpet. Always amazes me they log on each day just to get angry at a total stranger who is trying to keep this game from getting old.
Atlas, looks good, moves good, has a great solid feel to it. But the new invader base when it first came out was meh , I’d have preferred something not drawn by an 8 year old girl armed only with crayons and a fixation for cartoons. I wasn’t a fan as you can tell, but they remade it, made it more darkened, more sinister, so now it feels like you’re flying through a castle under siege, nice work PG. Atlas is the same map, all the areas are the same as the last version, but with a vastly added new section outside the original neutral zone. Still dislike the blocker situation, why do I need to have it forced up the whole time, it’s actually nice sometimes being able to fly dragons rather then open mails or Line chats and keep giving access to other teams, it’s ruining the beta, such a shame. Well it’s massively aimed towards the whales. It’s tested by the high level highly active teams so we have found the credit card warriors doing what they do best and putting the money into PGs newly acquired luxury island, while the rest of us get fed up with the new features and events, apart from portals these suck huge balls btw. So much the opposite of fun when PG places a portal right in the middle of your base so all you can do is watch huge players come in and wipe you out, but get this, the only way to stop these huge wrecking balls coming through is to place a primarch on their side of the portal, so incredibly dumb. It’s like having a hotel room with adjoining doors to the one next door and the only way to stop the psycho stranger in the room next door to keep from coming in and killing your whole family is to sit in his room and hope he don’t kill you to gain full access. I can only imagine the carnage now the D1’s and D2’s are allowed in. We may be in the neutral zone with nothing left real soon, oh well just means only invader for me then. Just looking forward to feeling fine and happy, wish me luck.
So for them looking eager to get it, the first week or so you won’t be able to come out of it, as I said it’s a highly polished in game game. The novelty will wear off when you get these huge teams just wiping you out in minutes. If you’re a leader or an officer, best shave your head now, it will save the pain of ripping it out in frustration.
I hope your day is smashing and your weekend is cracking.
