The ramblings of a MadHatter
II. Sweet ones old friends
III. Father's Day
Ok. Firstly I haven't a problem with anyone spending vast amounts of cash on this game. Your money, your choice, if I could afford it I may have well done it too. The things that makes me chuckle lots is when events start and then people come into LC, line groups and forum screaming about how they are being ripped off, firstly take time in reading the rules in the event before it starts, usually the island does rise from its watery depths in plenty of time in order for you to have a browse, also, discuss it as a team, get another 49 opinions on it before you take your first flight onto the leader board. Also there's other instances, take the double sigil chests for instance, man alive there was some tantrums, I would love to know the amount of tissues used in drying tears. I've never had so much fun reading the forums and LC. Once people understand that they are customers in a place that only caters for greed and not them, making money not building trust and suitable development team and player relationships then they will stop pinning their hopes and dreams in that one last chest.
I've made lots of friends in this game, my bookmarks are filled with people I can get hold of in an instant and not attacking targets. Sad scenes when one becomes a ghost, team less and the medals stop piling up. Sometimes they spring up, back to life, full of holiday stories. But the majority just disappear, the bookmark gets wiped and they dissolve from the game. Either real life kicks them in the face or just get bored of me stalking them. For them gone, sweetones, if you have found a better game, enjoy, if you are hiding from me, well I don't actually blame you lol.
Ok, this is Fathers Day weekend, big shout out to the under appreciated and over worked men out there. Take the day to neck some apples in fluid form. Also big love to the Father of MadHatters, Maddud who is currently chilling out in OG, helping the team raise the padawans there. From conception to last year, he dedicated his time to get this team into the idyllic place it is now, only handing me the keys to the door when Military deployment meant saving the world was more important then running Hatters. So my friend, I'm hoping I have done justice to your dream and we have done you proud.
Right I'm also going to use this platform on this weekend to give love to an actual Legend. He taught me right from wrong, he gave me skills no schools would dare teach and was the ultimate Dad. He sacrificed everything to get us to live, to feel, to see what we could achieve putting in a shift and not expecting to get nothing for nothing. If I could rise to half his Dad powers then I'll be truly gifted indeed. RIP Dad, I miss you every single day, it will never change, but I'm not sad, I'm joyous in knowing what a time we had and how people missed out not knowing you. My next pint is held aloft in your honour.
Also to say thanks to my grandad for the term "Don't ever f@@k with another mans rhubarb", I heard this often yet he died peacefully in his sleep before I plucked the courage up to ask, I'm hoping his bus load of passengers at the time are getting better.......
Well, may your shots be toasted, your towers safe and your dragons fed.
BTW, hit the link for the a great listen, I keep it on loop now so I felt like it should be heard.
