The ramblings of a MadHatter
III. Cheaters, hackers and saints
IV. Social media frenzy.
Well this month marks my 2nd year of this addiction. So much has changed, in such a short space of time, looking back through our Facebook page we see the progress of when Amarok was a huge Dragon, how the team was charting Chips progress levelling it. The new dragon tiers, each one giving you the fire power you dreamed off. The introduction of new leagues. Even stuff we take for granted now such as runes, what a headache they was when they first hit the maps yet now it's an everyday thing. But one thing hasn't changed, the social aspect, it puts this game right up there, only a few little changes in how we can communicate has differed in all my time playing this, it's a rare thing for a phone/ iPad app to get me hooked as this, I'm talking daily playing, hours when I can fit it in, yet it don't get tedious. When the triple resource weeks drag by (now they have brought back the utterly ridiculous and pointless feeding event) we always manage to find some fun from some where, either by using the vast complex nature of the games huge bases network, or popping our heads into LC to see if the village idiots gate has been left unlatched and they are in there doing their thing and we are trying really hard not to point and laugh. So the new features added, new dragons coming on board and a few tweaks here n there still make this a hard to put down game. But the biggest attribute this game has given me is real good friends, some I talk to daily, others when I’m needed or I need them. But I know that they are there when required. Well done PG.
So with only a few weeks left till the World Map goes live and is no longer beta tested and..........they ruined it on the last update, previous one was spot on, so good, for a side running app it did make a big splash and just a couple of tiny bits to finish it, I used to spend quite a bit of time in there but since this last update, I'm in there for a few multis and to check the islands over and that's it. I barely use it now. Ok there was a kinda good bit about the last update, the dragon riders, these are cool little add ons that will add extra buffs to your game, they look real good too as you're flying and having one of these clinging to the back of your dragon. Crafting the gear is a bit tedious, the shards are scattered around the regions in the map and with blockers forced up in the last update it's now a pain to get passage through and seeing as I'm in England playing a primarily USA game, I do have to wait quite a few hours most times, so now just wait for the free bazaar and the mini events to get the shards. But all in all, for them about to freshly receive the World Map. It's a polished, clean looking another dimension to this game that will have you begging for more hours in the day.
Ok the biggest news recently is the cheaters and hackers getting banned and their devices put on the naughty list. Nothing gives me greater joy, then knowing one of these thieving cheating dirty scumbags have been cracked open and sent back to level one. It winds me up to think I've grinded out hours to achieve something and these come in with a modded account or a jail broke device to get the same results in minutes, actually it's pointless even playing the game as you get nothing from it that way, I mean, no sense of satisfaction, no Camaraderie and no sharing a good job well done. Also what I've been hearing is the shouts coming from the innocent. One of my officers was one of these. Although he spends money, brings people into the game and is a great role model, PG wouldn't talk to him at first, after a while they broke radio silence and told him he broke one of their rules with out explaining which one. This went on for ages, we even bombarded them with mails and our own LV sent a beautifully worded mail and finally they caved in, reviewed his case and found nothing wrong at all. Just a shame no compensation was offered due to their mistake and service costing him a week loss of non playing. But if you are innocent, please don't give up, get your game reviewed.
Ok back to the dawn of time when I first loaded this app up and assisted Ash in her quests that ultimately brought me here. The only source of of game info was the WD website, but it wasn't pushed that hard, the information was there if you knew where to look, but mainly we had the Wiki, TC, LC, GC's and the in game mail system to find out and share information. Then the chat apps started. Kik first came in, blew the game wide open, now you could see and interact with your team mates out of game too. Line soon followed and wrenched the crown from Kiks head and it still rests with Line. The groups you can join are endless for WD, starting off with just the banter pages, then there's recruiting groups, advice and tip ones (Curlys is epic BTW) and the team ones with their mini groups too. There's Twitch also where Pixxel showcases the new and desirable content being launched soon. Of course twitter and instagram too have their followers and FB, I mentioned earlier about our page, started by Scar right back in the early days but now there's groups aplenty, if you want to fill your days up by reading WD Facebook, then that's all there for you to do. Of course I cannot leave this alone with out mentioning Alleviates and her amazing website Wardragons.info. She works tirelessly bringing us all the new content and filling the site up for day to day use and you will find the more you look, the more you will be amazed at all the little gems she has in there. So this little app has inspired a huge network of places to go chat, read, join in and fill you up with so much knowledge that you will struggle to find the time to play.
Ok I'm seriously hoping no one got down to here still wondering where the poetry is. Erm, TBH I've never been any good at it, even my florists cards don't contain any poetry, also I'm surprised they allow the content said instead.
Ok, your eyes must be hurting as much as my fingers now. So I'll leave you to crack on with your life.
Have a smashing day.
