The ramblings of a MadHatter
Well hello once more, come on in, make your self at home, feel welcome, walk around in just your slippers, pull up a piece of floor and get comfy. Not much to chat about game wise really, the same things cracking on, the same people making my game fun and enjoyable. The same (non profitable) bugs are still causing us grief and we have new ones to swear at too, such joy.
Well the current season is drawing to a close, very little time left and I hope you got what you wanted and its destination in the divine line maxed. I myself went for Chimerak. It reminded me of Kaiju who I had such good fun with. I finally achieved its obsidian stone so I'm happy, the added bonus of hitting the bonus token line paid off too. So once again just the one divine for me again. Sigils seem ever rare and in low numbers once uncovered. But I'm pleased with him for sure, it looks as though will give me plenty of fun times visiting other bases borrowing rss. So, the Halloween landscape has gone, who else is hoping for a winter wonderland one next, imagine flying over a snow covered base, candy canes and Christmas trees a plenty, burning elves little cottages and smashing Sants's workshop to bits, even replacing the whale with reindeer's pulling the Sleigh?? Just me then !!
What is a sad face is the new ticket system, reporting to the devs seems to be slower and even non existent now its hard to rate it as it don't allow negative stars.
Once again, the outside world of WD is growing ever strong, bigger and more informative. So many quality items out there to help you gain insight, new players and ever increasing knowledge. An ever increasing point of info is the Academy, lovingly over looked by its Dean xxBoudica and along with her team of experienced players helping her. The knowledge passed out is incredible. So with all these new ways to make your self stronger wiser and more out going, WD will have an ever growing list of heroes and super stars.
November has a few memorable dates. We have Guy Fawkes day here on the 5th. Here was a man who didn't believe in getting rid of politicians in the old fashioned way and thought a huge amount of gunpowder stuck in the houses of Parliament added to its charm. Unlucky for him he got caught and for his troubles got hung, drawn and quartered but lucky for us we got huge bonfires and fireworks, which is nice. Armistice Day on the 11th and remembrance Sunday. Lest we forget our fallen, wounded and currently active military personnel out there keeping us safe. There's also Thanks Giving over there, a warm up for Christmas dinner, getting the bellies nice and stretched in readiness. But like all traditional stories, there is always the blood shed behind them, hiding in the shadows, trying not to scare the children who I actually believe would find History a lot more engaging if there was a lot more blood and treachery. Even Santa Claus and Christmas has its beginnings steeped in hardships and sacrifice. But anyway, following your ways, I raise a glass and I am truly thankful being surrounded by a great bunch of like minded people.
Sticking with November, the Starks predicted it, Winter is almost here and now we are in the arse end of Autumn, where the crisp pile of leaves become a soggy, slippery mulch. The frosts are covering my windscreen and Spring is so far away its almost non existent. But what it does bring is earlier darker nights and darker mornings, which means better battery consumption as I can convert back to my troll like status and play in the dark with the brightness turned down and little screen glare if I play outdoors. Silver lining?
But I reckon I'm due a winter of hibernation. Tucked up in blankets, a fire in full flame in the log burner and me spooning my favourite lady, that would be Perfection for sure. Playing WD over the winter months just letting the outside happen with out me, while I'm flying dragons and feeling fine and happy and cosy. Although what winter does give us is crystal clear night skies, its amazing on a cloud less night as I lay in my hot tub, cider poured, music on and gazing up hypnotically at the graceful show of stars.
As ever, be cool, be cheeky, be well
