The RAMBLINGs of a MadHatter
Greetings, hi there and hello, I'm MadBruv, leader of the glorious MadHatters, also a purveyor of fine, ok and damn right cheap cider. I thought I'd try this blogging out, give you an insight into another players trials and tribulations during a standard WD week as a muggle.
Well, now into the third week of RSS events, things are pretty tight out there, the famine has set in hard (still waiting on Bono and Bob Geldof to pull their fingers out and get the charity single released so we can all feed our dragons) so I decided to open the 30 gold chests that have been sitting there screaming at me to open them. So I gave in, I needed the wood packs for the event, as I said, it's horrific out there, and lo and behold after opening 31 chests (bonus one too) I get a single 130k wood pack, yep, just that. I can't even hunt the rest needed to top it up to build. So after a chat with the devs, apparently they will take this amazing idea on board and look at increasing drop rates of wood packs in this event in the future...........
Ok, didn't mean to start of on a whinge, so I'll move on. Now there's some huge personalities in this game. All seem to always be there, in the thick of it, giving us great stuff to listen, watch and play with, Alleviates and Adored for starters, dedicated Website and visual deities, always here, always pulling the rabbit out of the hat for more stuff and seriously fun people to chat too. I mean I even get giddy when LX says hi back in League Chat for instance, or when Marximus replied to my email congratulating him hitting 300 (yes I'm that sort of dork). But as usual I watch the Twitch stream, seeing Pixxel showcase what else I can't afford to pay for when it gets released and like always I have a bit of banter in the chat box, when she read out my joke in there (albeit not my finest work, but it made me chuckle when I first put it in our team rules ) and that was it, I felt I had made it in life, I had been blessed, obviously I couldn't remember the rest of the stream as I was already phoning round my family telling them the good news. It made my week, thank you Pixxel.
Sapphire is a tough place to play, the teams up here are quality, set up and run efficiently so in order to do well you have to put a decent shift in to do well and to get the rewards. So when real life smacks you in the face it does affect your game life too. I had to say goodbye to several people who I've flown alongside with, two for a year and half who have been here since the Hatters was started, that's one of the joys of the game, the communication side of things, real life people, chatting in real time about real life, you can't help but to get drawn into their lives as they yours. Always a sad face when friends leave the team, hope they find their way home soon.
Ok, I'll leave you alone now, run free people.
